At a few steps from the centre of the capital city of Kingstown, there is the most ancient botanical garden of the western hemisphere, inaugurated in 1765.
Here, still nowadays, the Artocarpus is cultivated, brought on the island by Captain Bligh, the "evil” of the Bounty, directly from Polynesia.
In this charming place, during the holiday on sailing boat in the Grenadines, not only it is possible to admire endless examples of flora and fauna, but also to visit the forestry department for the restocking of parrots.
