Barbuda

It has to be seen at least once in lifetime: it is the typical fabulous place with endless sandy beaches, often desert.

The animals live in the wild and it is easy to meet several living beings.

It is integral part of Antigua and in the XVII century it was ceded to an important English family, the Codrington, whose name define still today the main town, in truth very modest and scarcely inhabited.

A big coral plateau surround the island, which boasts long sandy beaches overlook turquoise and clear waters.

Here there are several species of fishes and shellfishes, a real paradise for scuba divers who can also search for the wrecks of ancient ships.

The coast is surrounded by the reef and dangerous shoals make the anchorage very difficult.

In the south you can find the most important and elegant tourist complexes and hotels.

There is also a little aerodrome for private planes; so it is easy to understand that it is an exclusive way to spend holidays.

In the island the environment is preserved by reserves and protected zones in both sea and land.

Cocoa Bay

It is located in the south of the island, at west of Cocoa Point, and it is surrounded by the coral reef.

The dangerous shoals and the countless coral heads make it a rosy beach absolutely natural thanks to the tiny shells.

Hotel complexes are scarce and reserved to elite groups.

Low Bay

From Palmetto Point, which boasts a good restaurant managed by Italians, you can find an unspoilt and endless sandy stretch, nearly 10 km, that closes a wide lagoon.

In the middle and in the north of the bay there are countless coral reefs.

St-Barth

Compared with the great majority of the Antilles’ inhabitants, here the population is white: in fact the soil infertility had prevented almost completely the traditional production activities in this climates.

Occupied by the French and for short time by the Swedes (the capital Gustavia recall King Gustav III) it belongs to the French Overseas Department of Guadeloupe.

With the increasing tourism, especially American, the building construction was focused on research elegance; life runs natty, not frenetic, and the absence of a casino guarantees relax and quiet.

The coasts are very jagged and rich in oxbows and inlets which offer landing places and nautical assistance to yachtsmen.

The seabed is teeming with fish.

Saint Barthélemy bears the name of Christopher Columbus’ brother, Bartholomew.

Anse de Grande Saline

Located in the south of the island, it is one of the most beautiful beaches of Saint Barthélemy.

Even if it is not in the heart of the most urbanized zone, it is easily reachable thanks to a great road link.

Baie de St-Jean

The north coast bays are exposed to north-east trade winds and as it is a protected zone anchorage is forbidden: pay attention.

In the middle of the bay, on a little headland, there are the hotel Eden Rock and other important complexes located along the sandy beaches well shaded by the surrounding palm groves.

Petite Anse

It is a wonderful inlet located in the north-east side of the island, comprised in the marine natural reserve, and so well preserved from aggressive tourism that could damages fish fauna and coral heads.

Anse du Grand Colombier

It is still a marine reserve not very popular that’s why it can be defined a real earthy paradise. It was bought in the early twentieth century by a rich patron who prevented the construction of any building.
